-04/11/08: Up to 60 +from the east at Kite point ( the kiters where scared I guess)

I had a lesson with a group of friends (4) last weekend. They needed to work on their upwind riding abilities and also transitions. I suggested we go for a downwinder, because we are in Hatteras :). I will follow with my boat and give tips, help along the way and rescue if needed - like boat support. They felt reluctant at first but having never done a downwinder hopped on.

We all had a blast and the guys made great progress. It helps when you have the boat support and don't have to worry about coming back to the same stop without walking. That way mental bariers because of that are gone and you just ride downwind :)

We had a great end of session bbq with fresh grilled fish and chilled beer back on shore.
